AIR4LIFE is an international research and academic collaboration between Moi University (Kenya) and the University of Bremen (Germany), launched in May 2025 under the Erasmus+ KA171 programme, and funded by the European Union. The project addresses one of the most critical environmental challenges of our time: air pollution.
By integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), AIR4LIFE aims to develop cutting-edge systems for air quality monitoring and contribute to global efforts in improving environmental health and sustainability.
Our Vision
To become a leading platform for innovation, collaboration, and research in the fight against air pollution—empowering students, researchers, and institutions to create lasting global impact through science and technology.
Our Mission
- To harness AI and IoT technologies to tackle air pollution through community and personal air quality monitoring systems.
- To promote student and staff mobility through the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (KA171) scheme.
- To build interdisciplinary research capacity and foster academic excellence in environmental and technological innovation.
- To cultivate a new generation of globally connected, environmentally conscious scholars and innovators.
